What is the “Phase 0” remote 9-week prep program?

Last Updated: Jun 09, 2016 09:32AM PDT
Phase 0 is the first step in your Dev Bootcamp journey. Phase 0 is a 9-week, part-time curriculum that students complete remotely. Phase 0 will take 20 to 25 hours per week.

The Phase 0 curriculum introduces the basic technologies you will use in the immersive program to build web applications such as: git, HTML, CSS, Ruby, JavaScript, and SQL. It also focuses on teaching meta-skills such as problem-solving approaches, pair programming, and giving and receiving feedback.

Although remote, Phase 0 is still an intensive experience. It includes weekly challenges that must be completed on time and pairing with your peers and instructors throughout each week. While Phase 0 can be done from anywhere in the world, it is vital that you have access to reliable internet on a daily basis.
